We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Siem Reap, and we feel as though we had a nice mix of exploring both new and old. We spent time wandering around the tourist filled area of Pub Street, we browsed many stalls showcasing handicrafts made by locals, and we also spent a good chunk of time admiring the beauty of the ancient temples that are scattered all around Siem Reap.
We first met Kim from Snay Tour Services when he picked us up from the airport in Siem Reap. We used his transportation services to get into town on a few occasions, and we expressed interest in a full day tour with him to see some of the local temples. We wanted to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat, so Kim picked us up at 4:30 am. We had an amazing day seeing countless temples and interesting sites around Siem Reap. Below are some of our photos from the day.
Kim took us to Kbal Spean, joining us on the 4km hike through the jungle (pictured above). We finished the day off with a beautiful sunset backdrop beside a man made lake. We finally got dropped back off at 7:30 pm, and despite the long day of driving, Kim still had his usual welcoming smile.
