WIND DREAMER: A HOBBY CAN BE A HOME

We purchased Wind Dreamer for $7900.00 CAD.

And so our next journey begins!

We have been married for 17 days. For our wedding, we kindly asked guests not to purchase gifts for us, but instead to help contribute to our next home; a sailboat. Some may think it sounds rude, but the fact is we have moved house twice now. We already had sufficient household items and we were actually looking to minimize the amount of "stuff" we own.

BEFORE

We found the advertisement on a local buy and sell website and couldn't wait to visit the boat, a Northern 29. Once we saw Wind Dreamer and met her owner, we knew this would be our next home. Considering the price, the boat was in excellent condition. The interior of the boat is in fine working order. It includes a working stereo with two cabin starboard side speakers, two aft cockpit water-proof speakers and a working VHR radio. An icebox chills the food, and there is a liquid gas stove, suitable for any pot or pan. It also boasts a spacious V-berth, a comfortable single berth in the common area and a dining area, which turns into a double berth.

The navigation system is in full working order and there are already more gadgets than we could have imagined. There is a full bimini top with frame, dodger and screen netting to keep away pesky insects. It comes with a main sail, genoa and a spinnaker. Some other amazing add-ons to mention are; the railing mounted BBQ, DVD player and a 15" LCD TV. It has a two battery system with a trickle charger and two 12-gallon fuel tanks, 25 gallon fresh water holding tank with electric pump. The motor is an Atomic 4, 30 Horsepower auxiliary motor with a two-blade propeller.

We are in the process of preparing it to be stored for the winter. We have taken measurements of the interior and have removed the cushions, so we can create what will be Wind Dreamer's new look in Spring 2018.
