SOUTHEAST ASIA: BANGKOK, THAILAND

We arrive around 12:30 in Bangkok. Unable to check in to our airbnb we head to a local craft beer bar just outside of our district. We enjoyed a snack and tried a few of their local beers. After we wrapped up lunch we headed to our airbnb. We checked in and took a few hours to catch up on some emails and blogging. A large storm rolled in and made going out quite difficult. We stayed in a bit longer waiting for the storm to pass. We spent the evening walking through a night market and having a really late dinner.

THE ARTS- CALYPSO CABARET

Our second night in Bangkok we attended a cabaret show in the riverfront area just south of where we were staying. The show was quite the production. A large ensemble of men, women and lady boys took us around the world, by showcasing dramatic stereotypical stories, from North America, Eastern Europe, Japan and many more.

HANDCRAFTED- B&B FASHIONS

On our last day in Bangkok it was a special holiday that local TUK TUK drivers were giving special rates for tourists. The deal was available because local business' were giving kick backs to the Tuk Tuk drivers. One of the stops, during our day with the driver was BB Fashion. BB Fashion was offering a coupon to any Tuk Tuk driver bringing tourists in for a trial fitting. After looking at some of the textiles and a few designs we discussed a price for two suits and if it was possible to receive them before we left. We had two suits commissioned, and they would be ready for the first fitting within 4hrs. We were a little hesitant about the suits being ready in 4hrs, but when we arrived back at the location, after 4 hours, the suits were there. And they fit like a glove. In 4hrs we had two completely different suits made (two Jackets, two shirts, two vests, two pairs of slacks and they threw in three ties). Each suit was made 100% tailored. Thank you to the guys over at BB Fashion for everything, the suits are amazing!
