SOUTHEAST ASIA: GILI AIR, INDONESIA
We took a four hour ferry ride from Benoa Harbour to Gili Air on a luxurious fast boat service provided by Patagonia Express. Once we arrived we spotted a horse drawn buggy, one of two modes of transportation on the island. Pictured below.

STARK BEER- THE ONLY PREMIUM CRAFT BEER MADE IN INDONESIA
After spending nearly two weeks in Indonesia we still hadn't found any craft beer. After researching some locations we wanted to visit on a day trip in Bali, we found a place called Stark Craft Beer Garden. It was a restaurant and brew house in Central Kuta, Bali. We didn't have time to make it there but to our surprise we were able to find the brand on Gili Air at a restaurant called Sharkbites. With a large selection of Stark's beers on hand we tried as many as we could during our two visits. Wheat Beer, Dark Wheat, Mango Ale, Lychee Ale and their IPA (Indonesian Pale Ale).

Besides the excellent selection of Stark Beer they have a large menu with everything you could want. We tried a few items while we studied for our dive courses and on our second visit we played Rock'n'Roll Bingo, hosted on this particular evening by one of our dive instructors.
