SOUTHEAST ASIA: PAI, THAILAND

Our journey from Chiang Mai to Pai was a three hour journey through the mountains, on some of the most twisted roads we have ever experienced. We arrived and immediately rented a pair of scooters. Pai isn't as busy as other cities or towns in Thailand so it was a good place to learn how to ride them.

AGODA- PURA VIDA RESORT

Oh my gosh!!!! Our first breakfast at #puravidapairesort exceeded our expectations!! #allthehoneymoonfeels Not only was the food delicious (I had yogurt, muesli, fresh fruit and Justin had a full sausage and egg breakfast with fresh fruit on the side! Both with the tastiest black coffee ☕️ 😍) but the views of the property from all angles were stunning too. We stayed at Pura Vida Resort about 7km outside of Pai. It was nice to be outside of the city, after spending time in the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai. We woke up early every morning and were served the most amazing breakfasts. Our hostess Noi was also there to greet us good morning. Her and her husband have truly created a paradise. No stone was left unturned. The bungalows were decorated tastefully. The food was amazing. Everything down to the landscaping was thoroughly planned and purposefully done, to create private areas for relaxation. We can't thank Noi and her staff enough for their hard work in creating such a wonderful experience.

JIKKO BAR PAI

 

After dark we immediately found the only craft beer bar in #pai (possibly in all of Thailand, haha ok maybe not..) and @justintymharner was in his glory #justinsbeerlist <———follow his impressive beer list if you love beer! I love beer but opted for a pineapple cider! RABBIT CAFE

 

We’ve walked by here a few times, but had other things planned already. We finally had the chance to hang out with the bunnies at the #rabbitcafepai as you can see, I’m pretty excited about it. GO KUI- TATTOO

In the afternoon we went into town for my #tattoo appointment. I’m so happy with how it turned out, it’s better than I had imagined. #thankyou to the #talented @gokui I have wanted a tattoo for years that reminded me of the time I spent living in Galicia, Spain.
